Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy is a collaborative process where you meet with a trained mental health professional to explore thoughts, feelings, experiences, and challenges in a safe and supportive environment. Therapy helps people gain insight, develop coping strategies, improve relationships, and move toward personal goals.

Many people find therapy helpful when facing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, trauma, or personal challenges. Therapy can also support personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing, even when there is no specific crisis.
If a challenge is affecting your emotional well-being, relationships, work, school, or daily life, therapy may be helpful. Many people seek counselling simply because they want support, perspective, or personal growth.
Absolutely. Therapy is not only for crises. Many people attend counselling to improve relationships, increase self-awareness, build resilience, manage stress, or work toward personal goals.

Sessions involve discussing the concerns, goals, and experiences that are important to you. Your therapist will listen, ask questions, provide support, and work collaboratively with you to develop strategies and insights.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from a few sessions focused on a specific issue, while others choose ongoing support.

Rather than telling you what to do, therapy helps you explore options, gain insight, and make decisions that align with your values and circumstances.
