Welcome

I'm Dean, a counsellor and educator with more than 20 years of experience supporting children and families.
I believe counseling works best when individuals feel safe, comfortable, and accepted. That's why I've created a welcoming space where we can relax, talk, play, and build skills that help you and your loved ones thrive. Throughout my career, I've helped individuals navigate anxiety, self-confidence challenges, friendship concerns, emotional regulation, family transitions, and worries. I'm often appreciated for my calm, practical, and easygoing approach. My goal is not only to support, but to help your entire family feel understood and empowered. When I'm not counseling, you'll find me outdoors, playing guitar, walking my dog, or enjoying time with family. I'm glad you're here.

Child Therapy

Descripton:

Children often express their emotions through behaviour, play, and relationships rather than words alone. I work with children experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, family changes, grief, self-esteem concerns, or social difficulties. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship and age-appropriate counseling approaches, I help children better understand their feelings, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate life's challenges.

Who its for:

Children from 5 - 12 years of age

Couples Counseling - Relationship Challenges

Description:

Work collaboratively to identify unhelpful patterns, improve communication, deepen understanding, and strengthen your connection.

Who its for:

Couples facing conflict, disconnection, trust issues, major life changes, or other relationship stresses.

Your relationship deserves more than generic advice. Drawing on the pioneering work of Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Sue Johnson, I use evidence-based approaches to help couples understand the patterns that keep them stuck in conflict and learn the behaviours that foster trust, connection, and emotional safety. The goal isn't simply to stop fighting. It's to build a stronger, more resilient relationship.
I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and LGBTQ+ affirming space where clients can explore their concerns, strengthen relationships, and pursue meaningful change without fear of judgment.
